10 REASONS TO TRY A HYPERBARIC CHAMBER

1- Cleanse and detoxify the body

One of the first benefits of hyperbaric therapy, resulting from a higher-than-normal rate of oxygen absorption due to its dissolution in blood plasma at low pressure, is the increased and accelerated «cleansing» of the body. More and more health professionals are turning to hyper-oxygenation to help their patient's body eliminate all kinds of environmental toxins, such as heavy metals, which poison our blood and lymphatic systems and, of course, the brain. This makes it easier for the body to do its job and keep us healthy!

2- Boosting the immune system

If the body is «cleaner» and can do its job more easily, by default it will be better able to protect our body. Henry's Law states that at low pressure, a gas dissolves in proportion to the pressure imposed on it. The impact of a pressure of 1.3 and 1.4 ATA enables oxygen to stick not only to red blood cells, but also to white blood cells, thus supplying the immune system.

Several scientific studies point in this direction, even going so far as to suggest that this increase in the immune system could help cure all kinds of illnesses that are normally difficult to treat. Patients report improved well-being and reduced or even eliminated symptoms. Many viruses and bacteria cannot survive in anaerobic conditions and can therefore be eliminated following a protocol of hyperbaric chamber sessions.

3- Healing wounds

Hyperbaric sessions can also, through more efficient assimilation of oxygen by the body, greatly aid recovery from wounds such as ulcers, burns, cuts and diabetic wounds. A similar oxygenation process takes place in the brain and spinal cord; cells that were once “dormant”, as Dr. Marois puts it, are awakened, enabling brain activity that was non-existent before hyperbaric chamber treatments. Many patients suffering from diseases such as Parkinson's, epilepsy, dementia and many others report a marked improvement in their quality of life. Numerous research studies tend to support these results.

4- Relieving pain

Migraines Chronic pain and generalized fatigue are often syndromes of fibromyalgia. An inflammation of the body that all too often leads to disability. A study of 60 women diagnosed with fibromyalgia was published in May 2015 by Dr. Shai Efrati and his team, shedding light on the effects of hyperbaric therapy on this disease. The most striking results were a drastic reduction or even cessation of painkillers in patients, a reversal or sharp reduction in the disease and changes in brain activity.

5- Treating skin wounds

By helping nerve and brain function, hyperbaric sessions can also promote the production and regeneration of external cells. It also stimulates blood flow, enabling it to penetrate more deeply into injured or unusually less-used areas of the body.

The combination of these effects speeds up the body's healing process. A number of studies have shown that oxygen therapy promotes certain skin diseases such as psoriasis and eczema. Hospitals have already been using hyperbaric oxygen therapy on burn victims for several years. Finally, with all its effects on the cells, hyperbaric oxygen gives us more radiant skin and a younger look!

6- Increase your energy.

Most enthusiasts swear they feel refreshed, more awake, in mind, body and spirit. It's for these reasons that many wellness centers and spas are increasingly offering hyperbaric chamber sessions to their clientele.

7- Help digestion

All this increased energy also helps with metabolic problems. For people who gain weight easily, have difficulty losing weight, or have problems of all kinds due to diabetes, hyperbaric treatment is an excellent idea to help our bodies manage metabolic functions such as breathing and digestion. The result? Better assimilation of nutrients, which stimulates your body and helps it to regulate itself.

8- Helping athletes

The metabolic acceleration and energy supplied to the body by oxygen help athletes to regenerate and excel. Many athletes have their own hyperbaric chamber to provide them with timely sessions to regulate their bodies, help them sleep well, heal better from sports injuries and increase their strength, speed and endurance. Many athletes are even prescribed hyperbaric treatment after a concussion or serious sports injury.

9- Increase focus«

One of the other benefits of oxygen therapy is increased cognitive function. This makes sense, since increased oxygen to the brain helps it to function and repair itself better. With more oxygen, our brain can work at full capacity and respond better to the body's demands. We react and think better. Several studies seem to prove the benefits of hyperbaric sessions for autistic children and those with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

10-Can help treat cancer

Finally, our bodies love oxygen. On the other hand, virtually all cancers hate oxygen! So hyperbaric therapy sessions to complement conventional medicine would be beneficial for people being treated for cancer.

Although the FDA and Health Canada do not recognize any illnesses that can be treated with the hyperbaric chamber, many people still use the hyperbaric chamber. Several I.H.M.A. (International Hyperbaric Medicine Association) doctors are lobbying these organizations with their studies for approval.
