This oxygen feeds the mitochondria (the energy-producing powerhouse of every cell), activates metabolism and promotes regeneration throughout the body.<\/p>\n<p>______________________________<\/p>\n<p>Hyperbarics are based on a PHYSICAL LAW: HENRY'S LAW<\/p>\n<p>The quantity of dissolved gas is proportional to the pressure exerted by the gas on the liquid.<\/p>\n<p>So, as the pressure of a gas increases, more of it will be able to dissolve in any solution with which it comes into contact.<\/p>\n<p>Oxygen is transported at 98% by red blood cells. Under pressure, oxygen is dissolved in plasma. Oxygen can dissolve over a distance of less than 50 microns. Capillaries (small veins) filled with red blood cells average 8 microns.  This is why oxygen diffuses very well through plasma, spinal cord and cerebrospinal fluid.
